Welcome to the Faculty of Medicine Academic Professional Development & Talent Management Program (PDTM).
University is committed to the implementation of a formal professional development process for all staff. This initiative has been identified by the Vice-Chancellor as an essential component of the strategy to improve research performance across the University.
The Enterprise Agreement for academic staff also identifies the need for an employee to:
“Meet annually with his/her supervisor in order to review his/her work in the past year, to discuss
work in the future years and to discuss an employee’s own personal career development.”
The Medicine Faculty Professional Development & Talent Management Plan will assist with both individual and collective research output, as well as helping to ensure high quality teaching and enable staff to create an academic portfolio. The process will also look at assisting with the identification of research and teaching opportunities and support mechanisms.
